PROGRAM
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The program of the 9th International Course on Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring was structured in order to offer participants, visitors and exhibitors a broad view of the most interesting topics and issues in the field of geotechnical and structural monitoring. That was made possible through the combination of different training formats that we arranged during the entire event.
The course will be open by a full morning dedicated to Round Tables under the theme “Perspectives on Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring for Resilient Natural and Built Environment” where Experts and Authorities will discuss about the perspective of monitoring from different point of views: Academia, Contractors, Designers, Manufacturers, Insurance, policy Makers, Service Providers and Research.
The following two days will be dedicated to the Exhibition and to the Master Classes.
Master Classes will aim at dynamically presenting and discussing dynamically with participants the Instrumentation and Monitoring (I & M) application to a number of geotechnical and structural problems such as historic monuments, infrastructures (railways, bridges, tunnels), landslides, exploitation of natural resources (dams, mines and oil and gas) addressing specific problems and possible solutions.
Exhibitors will have a space for Live Demos and interaction with attendees both inside the Exhibition halls and in an open area reserved to the event. Exhibition will be open to all those interested in I & M. No registration to the course will be requested.
